Senior consultant in DE and SE psych injuries team
Started working in October 2010 after working with another rehabilitation provider for 2 years. Started in Sydney for one month then back to Newcastle, central coast and regional areas. The move into a role that had a higher quality, greater focus on customer service and quality than revenue
Describe the type of work you do and what your average day entails:
Average day could include:
- Workplace meetings and initial assessments
- Vocational counseling and assessment
- Labour market research
- Suitable duties plans
- Nominated treating doctors case conference
- Liaison with treating parties
- Job seeking education
- Job seeking assistance
- Reporting and emails on progress and current status to key parties
What has been your greatest career achievement whilst working at Injury Treatment?
Assisting IW’s who have been out of the work force and lost their confidence return to new employment were there capacity surprises even themselves.
Why do you like working at Injury Treatment?
Flexibility and the capacity to have a good work life balance
The focus on strategy for return to work and the focus on having movement on the case at the end of each month.
