Describe your career at Injury Treatment
Commenced as the first full-time consultant in the ACT, as a consultant in September 2010. Moved into Regional Manager role in March 2011 – managing both ACT/Southern NSW and Newcastle/ Hunter regions. Also account manage a few clients.
Describe the type of work you do and what your average day entails
There is no such thing as an average day in this role~! Every day is different and that’s one of the most appealing things about it. I manage a number of senior staff members – all clinicians and all professionals which, while challenging at times, is also very rewarding as I have the opportunity to learn from them as well. I also have the opportunity to deal with customers and clients on a regular basis and manage a handful of cases myself as well which enables me to stay in touch with what our consultants are doing on a daily basis.
What has been your greatest career achievement whilst working at Injury Treatment?
Moving into the Regional Manager’s role and managing 2 very different regions. It’s been such a great opportunity and I have learnt so much while building 2 regional teams and customer bases.
Why do you like working at Injury Treatment?
Working with a group of clinicians who, while all coming from different backgrounds and disciplines all have a common goal.
What would you say to someone thinking of working at Injury Treatment?
If you know the industry – you’ll immediately notice why Injury Treatment is different and why it’s such a great company to work for.
What are your interests outside of work? How do you achieve your work/life balance?
Get out and about with friends and family – going out to dinner etc.
What don’t we know about you?
I am completely uncoordinated with my left hand – definitely not ambidextrous!
I am quite the chef – well I like to think so anyway!
