Exercise programs:
With the aim of ensuring a workforce maintains their physical ability to perform the physical demands required of their roles, Injury Treatment provides onsite exercise programs as a solution to the requirement to ensure the health and safety of individuals in the workplace. These exercises programs are often short (15-30 minutes), directed at preparing worker’s for their daily physical demands or to assist in ensuring a workforce maintains its physical conditioning.
In preparing for such programs, Injury Treatment will ensure a thorough understanding of the workforce and work closely with all parties to ensure the intervention meets the requirements of all key stakeholders. Such programs can include:
- Warm ups preparing employees for the key physical demands
- Specific exercises to enhance education of key muscle groups
- Exercises tailored to improve awareness of effective manual handling
- Exercises designed to increase heart rate in preparation for commencing work
- Home exercises to ensure that employees maintain a level of independent exercise
- Education around injury management and
- Stretching and flexibility specific to the workplace
An additional effective strategy for Injury Treatment to train a dedicated capable employee in the delivery of these programs over a few months to ensure such treatment services can be managed internally wherever possible.
