Mental Health Telephone Screening

To ensure a quick response to workplace situations that require and would benefit from a speedy intervention from our Optimise Psychological services, Injury Treatment utilises a telephone or online conferencing support service within working hours, to ensure the mental health of all parties are addressed quickly and appropriately by trained professionals. Injury Treatment’s Psychologists are able to respond on the same day or if urgent, within 2 hours of an event if an employee requires support or counselling to assist them overcome a traumatic event, conflict with a student or another staff member, or where the employee’s psychological well being is of immediate concern. Our Optimise Psychologists provide immediate counselling and propose solutions to assist the employee and their manager regarding the appropriate management of their condition and situation. With adequate professional support provided early following an event we attempt to minimise the risk of ongoing symptoms, difficulties with attending or performing work and to limit any potential claim that may occur without our skilled, early intervention.

 

If required, our Optimise Psychologist can schedule a treatment session in person or continue to provide telephone counselling / case management services to assist the employee in maintaining their status at work and mental well being. As this service can be provided from any Injury Treatment’s offices, there is scope for this service to be provided across NSW ensuring psychological injuries are managed quickly by appropriately trained professionals.
