What is Optimise Psychology?
Optimise Psychology is a psychological assessment and treatment program that has been specifically designed to address an injured workers’ mental health and psychosocial barriers to work.
What does Optimise Psychology involve?
Our Optimise Psychology programs begin with a comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment planning, followed by practical therapy interventions, workplace liaison, regular reporting and case conferencing geared towards hastening the
injured worker’s recovery and their timely return to work.
How does Optimise Psychology differ from other services providers?
- Focus on Return to Work and Self-Management.
Optimise Psychology Services are centered on increasing a client’s capacity to work, improving their function and ability to independently manage their condition.
- Industry Experience. Expert clinical opinion is provided by senior WorkCover-accredited psychologists with an average of 5 or more years experience of occupational rehabilitation allowing a true understanding and focus on the management of work related injuries and requirements of treatment providers in the worker’s compensation system.
- Effective Communication. Clear and concise reports that are relevant to return to work goals, fortnightly phone calls/emails, and regular case conferencing with all key stakeholders to promote a shared understandingof the worker’s progress with all parties.
- Time-limited. Interventions are short-term and usually completed within 6 or 12 sessions
- Measurable Treatment Effectiveness. We utilise well-validated outcome measures to demonstrate progress toward and achievement of agreed return to work goals.
- Convenient Locations. Our programs can be run at the injured person’s workplace (where appropriate) or one
of our growing number of locations around Sydney (see locations below).
- High Quality Standards. Full adherence to the Psychological Treatment Principles required by
WorkCover NSW, our own strict Professional Service Standards, Conflict of Interest Policy and the APS Code
of Ethics.
