Injury Treatment’s range of Single Rehabilitation Services, as outlined below, is a range of tailored ‘one-off’ services, each at fixed costs, with the aim of achieving cost effective quality outcomes for all our customers

Each of these services is crafted to rapidly eliminate any identified barriers to rehabilitation resulting in safe, timely and durable return to work and claims outcomes.

Our consultants boast an unparalleled level of clinical and rehabilitation which provides for confident, clinically-reasoned assessment, clear barrier identification and management, sound decision making and recommendations.

With support and clinical guidance from our team, our customers can select and match the required service to the workers’ needs, obtain a short term solution and then continue to manage the claim themselves.  This can be useful when an independent opinion is required or, alternatively, when employer resources are low.

Single Rehabilitation Services

Ergonomic / Postural Advice Assessment & Report Ensures the client’s work station is suitability organized in line with Australian Standards and  best practice guidelinesEnsures any issues in terms of pain or dysfunction are analysed and appropriate recommendations & functional education is provided to overcome the identified barriers
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Assessment & Report A home based assessment with the client to assess their environment and any key areas of difficulty or dependence considering their compensable injury.Provision of recommendations for improved techniques, equipment or modifications to enable safe and independent performance of activities of living.  

Determination on appropriate service provision based on prognosis of the compensable injury and a worker’s functional capacity.

Functional Assessment & Report Through the utilisation of an objective and recognized functional assessment, our experienced physiotherapists will assess the injured worker’s key physical / functional tolerances and feedback is provided in regard to their compensable injury and associated dysfunction both in and out of the workplace.Provision of key recommendations to assist the injured worker to improve their functional ability and work related capacity. 

 

Workplace Assessment & Report Workplace assessments are designed to assist the employer to identify appropriate duties, ensuring the injured worker is working within their identified medical / functional capacity. Our Workplace assessments include: Risk Assessment: identification of the risks that are present for the injured worker 

Barrier minimization: mitigation of yellow and blue flags hindering achievement of RTW goal.

Identification of suitable duties based upon the workers functional and medical capacity.

Education of line managers in the effective management of a Worker’s RTW, minimising potential conflict and barriers to a timely return to work.

Recommendations for required accommodations, adaptations, workstation redesign and / or the provision of ergonomic or alternative equipment

 

Vocational Assessment & Report: Identify suitable and realistic vocational options considering the workers compensable condition, functional capacity, transferable skills, employment history, qualifications, interests and aptitude and pre-injury earnings. Consideration is then given to the worker’s local labor market
Job Seeking Education This involves the provision of a combination of up to 10 competency based job seeking education modules tailored to the injured claimant in order to assist them to independently job seek. Each session is approximately 1 hour of training and can include such things as how to disclose a worker’s compensation injury, how to seek non- advertised job vacancies and developing a resume. The choice of education modules is based upon the experience and skills of the worker
Transferable Skills Analysis Identify suitable and realistic vocational options taking into consideration the workers’ compensable condition; functional capacity; transferable skills; employment history; qualifications; interests and aptitude and pre-injury earnings combined with Work Cover NSW vocational retraining / vocational assessment guidelines.Full labour market analysis / employer feedback is not conducted. 

 

Bundled Single Rehabilitation Services

Combined Workplace & Functional Assessment A Workplace Assessment with the injured worker whereby the specific physical demands of the pre-injury duties and suitable duties are assessed and documented.A Functional Assessment with the injured worker whereby their specific physical capabilities are identified against the assessed physical demands required. 

The functional assessment component is conducted either at the workplace performing the required duties or in a clinical settings.

 

Combined Workplace Assessment, GP Case Conference & Signed RTW Plan A Workplace Assessment with the injured worker whereby specific physical demands or the pre-injury duties and suitable duties are documented. A graded RTW Plan is developed based on the workplace assessment results. 

A GP case conference is facilitated to discuss the outcomes of the Workplace Assessment and to acquire an updated medical certificate aligned with the graded RTW plan.

The RTW Plan is distributed to all parties and managed by the employer.

 

Combined Functional Assessment & GP Case Conference Through the utilization of an objective and recognized functional assessment, our experienced physiotherapists will assess the injured worker’s key physical / functional tolerances against their compensable injury and their current or proposed job description and the physical demand. A GP case conference is facilitated to discuss the outcomes of the Functional Assessment and to acquire an updated medical certificate to reflect functional tolerances OR approval to proceed with the recommended job description / physical demands within the workplace. 

 

Combined Vocational Assessment & GP Case Conference A Vocational Assessment with the injured worker as above. A GP case conference is facilitated to discuss the outcomes of the Vocational Assessment and to acquire signed approval of the vocational goals. 

 

Combined Vocational and Functional Assessment / GP Case Conference A Vocational Assessment with the injured worker as above A Functional Assessment with the injured worker whereby specific physical capabilities are identified taking into consideration their current or proposed job description and the physical demands required. 

A GP case conference with the injured worker to discuss the outcomes of the Functional and Vocational Assessment and to acquire signed approval

 

Facilitating Workplace Mediation Mediation meetings scheduled according to individual needs  

Mediation summary report and liaison with all parties
